The End of an Era

After over 6 years of intensive research and community development work in and around the Yachana Reserve, GVI Amazon is coming to a close. We have finished our final research project (look forward to our Road Effects paper, coming soon!) and are handing over the project to our partner, The Yachana Foundation. They will continue to maintain and monitor the reserve, using it as an hands-on science education center for students -- we're very excited to see what fabulous things this next generation of scientists find! Welcome

Hola from the Amazon and welcome to the new GVI Amazon blog.

As the spring is upon us, we also embark on a new project; we aim to create a very dynamic and interactive blog, so you can keep up to date with all the latest happenings, news, wildlife sightings and photos from our Amazon expedition.

We hope you find this new blog useful and interesting, and for all of you who have already been on a GVI Amazon expedition, we really wish it brings you back those happy memories from your time with us.
